Club History and Information

The Sedalia RC Flyers club was established in 1990, under the Academy of Model Aeronautics charter #2818 and incorporated as Not-For-Profit in 2014. Our club consists of both new and experienced flyers. We fly all types of airplanes, helicopters and quads.

The flying field is on the Missouri State Fair Grounds Gate 9 (off of Clarendon Rd)
Visitors are always welcome.

Morning and afternoon on weekends is when most members fly.  If the gate is open you are welcome to come in and watch us fly or bring your plane and fly with us if you are a current AMA member.  Please follow the far right road and park behind the fence.

For information about joining our club visit our flying field and we’ll be more than happy to answer questions. AMA membership is required before you can join our club (not required if you are in the learn to fly program.) AMA membership is free for age 19 and under and  $75 for all others except seniors which is $65 annually. Click here for our online membership application.

Interested in learning to fly radio controlled airplanes? We offer FREE RC flying lessons and provide everything you need. We also have a flight simulator to help you get feel of the controls. Stop by the field or click here to schedule an appointment to learn to fly.
